Legal Affairs

As a member of AGESSS, you are part of an Association that looks out for your interests.

To this end, advisors from the Legal affairs and human ressources department can provide information, advice and, if required, representation to ensure that your rights are respected.

The advisors are highly qualified professionals who are there to give you their undivided attention, as well as their expertise, and to intervene in areas related to your working conditions.

They offer quality services that are personalized and confidential.

The Legal affairs and human ressources department’s areas of intervention include your working conditions, your remuneration, as well as your group insurance and retirement plans.

Membership provides access to the following services:

During office hours, a dedicated, on-call advisor ensures that any new requests for information received by telephone or email can be treated promptly.

The response to all requests for information is prompt and accurate with due regard for your associative rights provided for under the articles of the Association.

Furthermore, the Legal affairs and human ressources department has developed a wide range of resumes and letter templates to better equip you when making requests to your employer.

  • Dispensation of advice by defining, in fact and in law, the working relationship issue at hand.

You can contact advisors from the Legal affairs and human ressources department by telephone, email, or videoconference. You can also meet with an advisor at the Association’s head office or at your workplace.

All requests for advice are treated with objectivity and competence while respecting your rights and the current practice.

Depending on your needs, advisors can prepare letters, opinions, agreements, protocols, or contracts for you.

  • Representation of your interests by appearing before your employer or the administrative tribunals concerned when pursuing remedies under your working conditions.
